To be far, $4.5 million is right around 7% of the cap. When Bieksa signed his $3.75 million deal in 07 the cap was $50.3 and his salary was 7.5% of the cap. In terms of percentage of cap hit, Bieksa is actually going to be making
less than when he signed his last deal.
