Yet we almost did! Apparently, P.K. Subban was part of the reported deal to get Vinny Lecavalier, but praise the Price, the Lightning owners could not agree and the deal never happened.

Now McDonagh was not our #1 prospect, and Gomez had a 70 point season followed by 58 points in 77 games. Both times second or tied for first in scoring on his team.
