This is standard procedure for the Yankees going on, what? Seventeen years?

They start kinda slow, play .500 against the good teams, get owned by the BoSox through April and May, and then you look up on August 1 and they have a 5 or 6 game lead.

I see the Yankees cooling off a bit but I'm more worried about Tampa than Boston. But if they split with the Rays, I'll be happy.

The Yankees have gotten absolutely nothing from Joba, Soriano and Feliciano, and have the best bullpen in the American League. Their starting pitching isn't too shabby as well.

This might be Girardi's best season as a Yankee, and thats including 2009.
