1960-61 Hart Voting is very interesting Johnny Bower was having a great year for the Leafs while the focus was on the race between Bernie Geoffrion and Frank Mahovlich to 50 goals.

The voting seems to reflect Bower's late season injury. He missed 12 games that were split between Cesare Maniago and Gerry McNamara who combined for a 6-4-2 record arguably the difference as the Leafs finished 2 points behind Montreal 92 to 90.

Bower missed two of the first round games against Detroit and returned for the last three bur was not 100%.

How did the articles about the Hart voting treat the Bower injury.? Interesting because goalies in the early sixties received Hart consideration regularly with Plante winning the Hart in 1962.
