Slight change. The habs have a backup goalie in this one.

Eric Belanger to be our faceoff specialist.

Brad Richards cap hit is so low because we're giving him a BUNCH of years, it's gunna be one of those contracts.

Simon Gagne is worth about what i've given him. I'm sure there are tems that would pay more but an opportunity to play in your home province with such a lineup will reel him in.

Talbot, round's out le connection de francais, oui oui.

The thing about Gomez is he's either gunna be off the books when we deal himm next year, or he will turn his life around and pull it together. With patches on his line for 82 games I'm gunna say the latter.

As for the repercussions next year, PK Subban, Carey Price we know will need significant raises. Lars Eller and Yemelin will as well. However if Eller requires one than it's because he's evolved into the player he's supposed to be and there for makes Gomez expendable, which solves any cap problems. Hal Gill's 2.25 will be off the books and an 800,000 Nathan Beaulieu will break into the lineup which will give us about 1.4 million. I'd really like to keep him but if we must, Travis Moen can become expendable. that's 1.5. Which is Enough for Price right there. Alraques 500,00 will come off the books, and on top of that, the cap will go up atleast another 3 or 4 million. Eric Belanger, Mathieu Darche, andrei Kostitsyn. They can all be replaced with cheeper hamilton players. basically we are pulling a chicago and going all out. We have to take advantage of the fact that our Allstar goalie is making 2.75. Our Superstar top pairing D-man is making 875,000, and our Power forward who's gunna score about 30 goals next year is making just 1.6 million. Even if we have to trade a scott gomez who has a great season next year, we have to buff up and take a run. We can't spin tires anymore. None of these moves involve expending assets, so I don't see why we shouldn't. Richards and Gagne are still relatively young at 31 IMO they got some great years ahead of them.

Whadaya think folks? can we do it?
