His career average is 21 goals per 82 games. He was a consistent 25-goal scorer until he had a couple of tough years where he got injured and bounced around a bit. Unfortunately he does seem to have some durability issues. But then again Ballard and Hamhuis were supposed to be 2 of the most durable defensemen in the league, and look how that theory turned out.
I think a lot of people underrate Higgins and Samuelsson. If both are healthy next year that wouldn't be a bad 2nd line. I'd like to upgrade it if possible but the kind of players we're looking for don't just fall out of the sky. We either take a chance on someone like Gagne or Fleischmann, give up major assets in a trade or end up with another marginal 2nd liner.
