I have major objections to Gagne...mainly that we'd have to commit multiple years to get him - he's older, declining, would cost as much as Wolski, and produce as much as Wolski.

So let me see, for the same production we should dump the guy on the less risky one year deal and tie up our cap for 3 years on the okder injury probe guy? And take a cap hit to do it? Yeaaa bad idea.

Wolski's 45 pts on a 1 year deal beat Gagne's 50 pts on a 3 yea deal. I know we want a good top 2 LW but this class doesn't have one. Even Leino was questionable. Wolski is a #2 LW byand large over his career and given what FAs were getting(other than Jussi Jokinen), Wolski's contract is affordable and low risk.
