Go ahead. Ill wait.
i'm pretty sure i'm arguing with an 8 year old, but anyway i'll try and break it down for you.

profit = revenue - expenses
  • Your team's payroll was $50M last year, even with a salary cap of $59M.
  • Your team didn't even bother raising ticket prices for the first round of the playoffs
  • As of today, your payroll is at $49M, without Stamkos and Purcell signed.
  • Bergenheim clearly couldn't be afforded.
  • Even if your owner allows payroll to go $55M, Stamkos needs to be willing to take a DRASTIC paycut AND you'll be kissing Purcell (and subsequently much of your depth) goodbye, unless he's willing to play for Florida oranges.

Got it, cupcake?
