I agree on all points. I didn't write Smith was smiling because I felt that Smith wanted to trade Kovalev, I wrote it because Sather's words might have come directly from Smith's mouth.

It was definitely time for Kovalev to move on. On the other hand, I figured that he was just one of those guys who gets started when he gets the kick in the rear end that a trade provides. Now I have to wonder if it's not simply something in:
1. the atmosphere of NYC
2. the chemistry of the Rangers organization
3. the water at MSG

For whatever reason he and the Blueshirts just don't seem to mix.
