Burke said he isn't considering an Offer Sheet at this time. To me that means absolutely nothing when it comes to Stamkos.

He could still be pursuing a trade, and of course, in the Conference he specifically stated that he would consider an Offer Sheet in the future.

So again, that just means that at this moment, an Offer Sheet is not being tendered to Yzerman for Stamkos.

And why should it. Tampa has barely hit the Cap Floor. They can match any ridiculous offer they want.

The Leafs may be preparing a trade, or could be planning an Offer Sheet if it becomes a viable possibility.

Fans rode Burke for giving up two 1st Round picks to get Kessel, how will they behave when he doles out four to get Stamkos?

I'd much rather see Stamkos go to arbitration this year with Tampa, be awarded a 1-year contract and then come to the Leafs next year.
