Was hoping to pop on this morning to find a a new signing thread.

VERY happy to say the least, im a big Sauer fan. The guy just does the little things right and imo will only get more solid as his career unfolds.

This is a guy who on a good team can play on any pairing, and well. Thats a big advantage to a team. Especially at that hit. Is it 1.25 PER or 1.25 Total? Im guessing its the latter.

I wouldve loved a longer deal, but given his unfortunate injury history and his ability to earn more money in his next contract - this deal works out for both parties.

Good for Mike, well earned - for a little while there i thought he missed his chance. Kudos to him for sticking with it and having a great camp and season last year.

Honestly, IMO he was the rookie of the year for last season - and i am gigantic Step fan so thats saying a lot.
