Whether he's miffed at anyone or not, he has to be motivated. He's doing this to be the goaltending version of Joel Ward, showcasing himself in May when half the league is sitting on its hands, watching one game a night. Then he hits unrestricted free agency and sees whether the process can go any better the second time. So he's playing for his sweetheart contract.
Hopefully he's not the goaltending version of Paul Kariya, post-Avalanche, after taking the league's steepest pay cut from $10M to $1.2M.
