Actually these summer camps are invaluable. The recent article about Kasper and Jessiman pointed that out rather well. Bringing your players in and showing and letting them use your facilities--letting them see the city they have a chance to play in---all this familiarization with the organization they've been drafted and/or signed by is probably the best thing IMO that has come out of the Sather years.
