Some of their sources are each other at times. Seravalli posted the Handzus rumor - something he admitted came from a bad source - but Sarah Baicker retweeted it saying she heard the same thing. If it was a bad source, how did someone else get wind of it?
It's a cut-throat business, but it's interesting when national media comes out ahead of them. Case in point was last year at the draft when the local media were made out to be fools about trading Hamhuis' rights to Pittsburgh. TSN mentioned it once or twice, and everyone in Philly spend the whole day and night denying it - until it happened.
