Flyers Beat Writers' "Sources" Claims: Made-Up or Real?

Frank Seravalli mentions stuff like on the trade deadline and free agency. A lot of these "sources" are simply other beat writers. For example, if Sarah Baicker is confident in what Frank normally has to say, there is no reason for her to not retweet and just say "source" instead of "Frank is reporting" because the latter looks like she isn't doing any work herself.
Not that I am saying this was the case, as I can't wait for the day Baicker takes over Panotch's job, just posing the idea that many writers are guilty of this.
