I think it's funny that people think there's a snowballs chance in hell he'd come here. This entire issue boils down to money, and people are dumb enough to believe he would then accept a trade to the one market in the league that would tax his income the most?

I've seen a few geniuses in the thread suggest he could "make up" that lost income with the endorsement deals he'd fetch in Montreal. This overlooks two very obvious things: he doesn't need to play in Montreal to land those kind of deals: he's getting them in the hockey backwater of Tampa Bay right now. And 2) his income from those endorsements would be harshly taxed in Quebec as well.
