The bottom four defensemen had less than 100 games of combined experience prior to the season. Any goaltender's numbers are going to suffer in that situation. Just take a look at Kolzig with his 2.97 GAA and .873 SV%.

You're exactly right. Miller and Norstrom are the Kings' top 2 defensemen. Norstrom is the Captain of the Kings. Without those two big dogs, the Kings' penalty kill has suffered, their defense has suffered. Most of the goals that Cechmanek let in during the Boston games were due to poor coverage on D. The Kings simply stopped playing after the 1st.
IMO, you're asking a lot from the goalie to shutdown the other team when your own team can't score or even register a shot on goal. Cechmanek will be fine in LA... especially when they get Mattias Norstrom and Aaron Miller back.... But that's just me.
