If Montreal doesn't score it's actually not for lack of trying. It's because the average opposing goaltender stops more of their scoring chances than Carey Price. If there is an actual underlying issue that keeps the Habs from scoring it would be a sudden drop in finishing ability from their players. Needless to say, I don't really buy that...
I watched almost all the games last year and there were at least 8 games I remember where Montreal completely dominated their opponent but couldn't seem to put the puck in the net ES, they lost quite a few 1 goal games this way.

I think this year with the addition of Cole, and Markov coming back, we will see the ES production numbers increase from this team.
