After reading his lists of the best and worst signings, I'd say he's on the safest ground with Vokoun at $1.5M. As for the others, I'd wait to see how they perform. A number of the others could underperform or outperform expectations. The Habs had to gamble with Markov not only because they need him but because he could help a rival.
