Fully aware of that. And in the context of the poster's question, my answer is correct. A player being on a 35+ contract doesn't preclude a team from using the bonus cushion to carry over bonus money earned to the following Season's Cap. And last but not least, O'Donnell's deal with the Flyers last year was not a 35+ contract.
The very fact that O'Donnell had bonuses in his contract last Season tells you that it's not a 35+ contract.
