Let me get this straight. Are you advocating giving Shane Doan a 35+ contract that is long enough to keep the cap hit <6 mil but pays him 9 mil in each of the first 2 or 3 years. This is absurd!

This seems much more realistic. Problem is Doan is a RW. Would rather try to get Parise. We should have held off on Gaborik and gone for Kovalchuk, everyone knew he was going to be out of Atl/Wpg.
