Its definitely a plausible scenario. Not a necessarily a pessimist 1 but rather realist. The most optimistics want him to succeed so they see big things in DD. He's un pti gars d'chez nous afterall. A warrior!

Bottom line my point is DD is pretty much on his own here. Yeh he can turn out to be a revelation and be a steady 50+ pts scorer in the NHL or! he can end up being a quality filler.
