The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly

The Good:

- Winning on the road in Toronto is, even in preseason, a nice way to get things going with a division rival.
- The Goose (not Grey Goose mind you) throws some big hits, converts on a PP and stands in vs. a legit toughguy like Belak. It appears I have to adopt a new favorite prospect for the first time since his '01 playoff run.
- Poms with a goal and two helpers has to help his cause to stick.
- Pyatt gets on the scoresheet with a goal and an assist and from the sound of it some solid play
- Good speed overall
- Bartovic-Afinogenov on their PK duties (what Max got)
- Max with 7 shots, Kotalik with 6. They at least were putting the puck on net....

The Bad:
- No one notching a goal in the shootout (hey, not much there to choose from)

The Ugly:
- When the players finally figure out that things are going to be called, we might see less of a parade to the box... Until then, it's going to be ugly.
- Toronto without their best three defensemen and an assortment of forwards would've been a far different squad tonight in a regular season match.

This one certainly doesn't help clear up the forward position and it seems more like Miller has the lead in the goaltending debate. And if that's the case, I can't see them spending over 2 million on a backup....

It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it. - Aristotle
