If you transfer schools for a second degree (e.g. Law, Education, Medicine, Dentistry, MBA, etc.) after completing one degree at first school, you don't have to sit a year or lose any eligibility. Otherwise you have to sit out (red shirt) 365 days from your last day on the roster of previous CIS or NCAA team.

For example, Nick Layton graduated from UNB this spring in just 3 years. He has two years of eligibility left, and he could have transferred to another school for a second degree or graduate studies and played two more years if he wanted. Instead, he opted to turn pro. Similarly, UNB's Jonathan Harty also graduated in three years this spring, but he opted to stay at UNB and take his MBA. He could have gone anywhere in the CIS and taken his MBA, and played.

Dalhousie, if I remember correctly, has three (3) AUS players transferring in this year, and they are all eligible to play their fifth year with the Tigers.
