Two things that anyone posting in the thread needs to understand.
1) We aren't making any trades between now and the start of the season. Never say never, but it's extremely unlikely.
2) Any trades we make during the season will be for players on the last year of their deal heading into free agency. Most likely someone we don't expect to be around the following year. Given Sather's recent track record, I wouldn't expect a big name.
So you guys can sit here and speculate about who we can get to fill the top LW spot, but most of it is just pipe dreams. Weber, Parise, Iginla. None of these players are coming to the Rangers. If Wolski doesn't work out, Sather will make a deal for some other 2nd tier winger. Long term, I'd bet the plan is to develop one from within.
