I wouldn't go this far. As was painfully evidenced in the COL/BOS game, there is a dearth of checking, character forwards in the Avalanche system. This certainly goes out and addresses that issue.

That said, it comes down to Vrbata and Johansson for Konowalchuk and a 3rd, which is brutal.

Also, if Nikolishin and Konowalchuk ever played together in Washington, it was on the PK...they weren't regular linemates.

The Avalanche STILL have depth issues at forward.
