Eskin will still be heard, and will still be on NBC with John Clark on Sunday nights, it's not like he is going to disappear.
WIP's morning show is crap, Morganti is old and tired, and I can't stand Rhea Hughes and her "haha I'm the traffic girl, but I think I matter" act, but it gets ratings. In radio, your morning show essentially the meal ticket. This is why YSP's ship has sunk. Howard Stern left for Sirius, and they never found a replacement, whether it be nationally or local. Opie and Anthony turned out to not be viable in mornings on terrestrial radio. Y100 stuck around for longer than Radio One intended to, until they pulled the plug because of Preston and Steve.
As long as Angelo feels like waking up at 3am, they'll be in good shape. I prefer WIP to 97.5, and I'm glad Macnow and Gargano are moving to drive time. I think Ike Reese is ok, and did an admirable job on the day Carter and Richards were traded while treading water in the deep end of the pool.
Meanwhile, MMR almost stands alone. Radio 104.5 is ok, it was better when they first started, but they play the same people and songs over and over again.
Anyways, the biggest plus for us is that Saunders and Therien will be on FM radio on a regular basis, and that will be more worth putting the TV on mute and turning on the radio.
