I hope he gets better. The Penguins and the league in general need his talent. Plus, I want him to be on the ice when the Rangers play the Penguins so there are no "well we didn't have Crosby" excuses if the Rangers beat them.
But if he's being cautious with the concussion issues I can't blame him. The last thing he wants to do is come back too soon and hurt his head again only to have it get even worse. I read enough about Pat LaFontaine and his concussion woes to know how it changes all aspects of your life, not just your hockey career.
But I can see that this will be a huge point of speculation and guessing on the part of TV hockey analysts and writers if Crosby isn't giving daily detailed updates on his status. Creating drama about the league's biggest star missing more time or even retiring is good for ratings but frustrating for fans who want to know more about what's really going on.
