Speculating that 'the Canucks lost confidence in him?' is just plain silly, if one doesn't even look properly at his job description.
Roberts is one of the top trainers for NHL players right now. Gagner hasn't done much one on one training with players since taking on his role with the Canucks. He's more of an advisor to prospects.
