IMO, the only reason you think Jones will be a backup is because we have Quick and Bernier. Jones has been a starter all his career and did great things in Juniors that made people regret not drafting him. He came in this year and stole the starting job from someone who's been around for a lot longer than him and he put up some damn good numbers. Jones, to me, has the same, if not better, potential as Gibson but is much better fundamentally.
