I remember meeting Demitra early in the '05 season. After a game, my dad, a bunch of other older guys, and me were waiting by where the players drive out after a game to try and get an autograph. I was only 13 and kind of small so I was pretty much in the back being blocked out by everyone else.

Demitra pulled up, signed a few autographs, and spotted me way in the back trying to get a glance, so he got out of his car, shook my dad and I's hand, complimented me on my vintage jersey, and then signed a few more autographs and got back in his car. One of the nicest hockey players I have ever met, and my condolences go out to his loved ones along with the rest of the players and their families. I really hope the NHL does something special this season to honor all those that the hockey community has lost this summer.
