He's listed at 5'10, but is not 5'10 by any means. He's a small statured player who possesses the intelligence and hands needed for the game but not the speed or size. You see them come into the NHL a ton and gone the next minute. Wellwood seems to be making a career out of it (just barely ) so good for him.

He rarely loses a battle on the boards which is impressive due to his size, just good anticipation and smarts. The guy uses one of the shortest sticks you'll see and he'll use it to deke in and go top shelf extremely close to the goalie, looks slick.

Vancouver's 3rd line was quite different with him around (Demitra and Bernier), he doesn't fit in with our current style, but I'd like to see him do well. He adapted his game last season with the Sharks and was a decent winger, he was on pace for 30ish points, if Burmistrov ends up centering the 3rd line it would be a decent line with him and Fehr.
