The purpose of this thread is to make a bold prediction for the coming season. I'm not interested in how you think the team as a whole will perform, but what individual player or aspect of play (special teams, face offs, etc.) will surprise? Both a positive and a negative.

For me, my prediction is that by the end of the season, Emelin will be one of our top 3 defencemen. He will be logging 22+ minutes per game, and will be relied on as the team heads into the playoffs as one of our top pairing guys.

I also think that Cole will prove to be a disappointment for the fans. I think he will produce similar to Trevor Linden: a lot to be desired on the scoresheet, but probably contribute in the lockerroom. I also think he gets dealt within the first 3 years of his contract.
