While Landeskog might not carry his own top line ever, there's a bigger chance of him spending his entire career on one than Zibanejad. I do agree that if everything falls into place, Zibanejad will be the better producer, though, but I don't really think that Zibanejad's got a huge advantage in all the offensive areas.
The likelihood of someone spending time on an NHL 1st line is contingent on many things. The NHL does carry a bias towards more physical players, which is not immediately rational.

I mean yeah, Lando will be penciled in next to Duchene or Statsny and he's very likely to produce points... So what? You could say that about any winger taken in the first round. I think Colorado took a bad gamble on someone who's likely to be a puck possession liability.
