He's better than expected in my opinion. Only slightly though. Good offense, crappy defense is about what I expected.
I'm sure the Flyers are well aware that his defensive game needs work. That can be vastly improved with quality Coaching, and the player gaining experience at the AHL level. But it's obvious the raw skill and tools are there. That is something that can't be taught. So it's obvious the reasons why the Flyers signed him, and want him in their development system. And it's obvious that he's not a "meh" player.
