I usually try to eat 2-3 hours before a game, and always have a pasta dish for the boost in carbs. If I get hungry again near game time I'll eat a banana or a granola bar. During the game I like to drink Gatorade, some people find it to be too sweet or gives them cramps so I guess its just preference.
