Had it been Sakic putting Pisani into the Colorado net, I'm sure it would have been 5 minutes at most, and more likely a 4 minute double minor.

Price of hitting high-profile players, particularly ones like Joe Sakic.

Returning to the original thread topic: Moreau didn't necessarily belong there, but Cross is no fighter and Hinote's a rough customer. I'm sure Cory can take care of himself, but... there were enough willing people to go around.

(As far as somebody's comment about it being late in the game: that's what happens late in games that are beyond reach. If the score was 6-1 the other way and Worrell was on the ice, I'd fully expect him to want to drop 'em with any willing Oiler. Call it goonery if you like, but that's what happens, and I'm not displeased about it. Players need to show their coaches they have *some* sort of heartbeat. I was extremely happy with the way Moreau stepped up to bat. He's a team leader - that's what the fricking A is for! It's not like Moreau and Laraque and Izzy were "saving themselves up" either - they were hitting all game. I noticed Foote - or was it Blake - wasn't any too eager to fight Laraque when they were tangled up in the Colorado end...)
