If we focus on potential and project that for both players, what I understand of NHL hockey tells me that what MacIlrath could become is far more rare and valuable to a team.

Let's look at Marc Staal or any of the Rangers top four and add the shear intimidation factor of what MacIlrath currently offers. What do you have? A significant improvement, no question.

You say MacIlrath will "probably" be a good player. The same could easily be said for Fowler. Nobody, not me you or anybody else knows for certain. You have an opinion, that's all. I suspect it's no more informed than mine.
