Salo is the last person who should have any blame on tonight's game. Both of those cross-crease passes were shot into the upper half of the net (where Smyth failed to put his)...

He did come up with some big saves. The little flurry early on in the first period where he made the glove save on Conroy I beleive.

Salo had a very solid game, nothing in terms of a weak goal, plus he controlled his rebounds very well, and even played the puck well.

He was about as fundamentally sound as a goaltender could be tonight.
