Schenn is 20 YO and Couturier will be 19 very soon.

If, as fans report and it is accurate, Couturier outplayed Schenn at camp, I see no reason why Couturier would not be the 3rd line centerman to start the season and for the whole season.
Having followed him closely in the Q, I can tell you that his defensive game is very good, that his puck control, his hockey sense and his faceoff skills offset altogether his skating and physical strength....he will win his battles along the wall.

There is nothing wrong in sending Schenn to Adirondack.
