Comrie (4th line in the playoffs last year) and Izzy don't count? You have to give the vets more leeway than you would a kid, and you can't bench the whole team at once, especially not 8 games in.

Now, if Brew continues his bad decisions, perhaps dropping him down to the third D pairing for a game or three might help take some of the pressure off, provided it was presented to him in the proper light, ie, "Eric, this hurts me more than it hurts you, trust me, it's for your own good... it builds character, yeah yeah!"

But seriously, I think he's shown that he's willing to hold the veterans and the go-to guys accountable - but they get more leeway, and that is as it should be.
