I don't like it for the Sharks for a couple of reasons:

1) As you said, it kinda screws us over in terms of the top center (McCauley's good, but not #1 line good)

2) Redden's contract is up (if I'm not mistaken) at the end of the year. Both Hannan and Marleau have multi-year deals. This trade would have to be based on Redden and the Sharks agreeing to a contract extension

3) I've heard that Havlat might be having some attitude issues. It's already been discussed on the SJ board that even when you don't look at trade composition, we're not sure we want a bad influence in the dressing room.

If you don't look at anything except talent levels, it's a good trade, but there a few other issues that I don't like from a Sharks perspective.
