I don't know how good of a coach Julien is (or will become). But I was let down when I heard the Habs got him. He knows alot of these kids. I could be wrong and the guy could be a flop in Hab land......but it was a faint hope for Craigs exit. That vanished.

I was also let down when Lowe announced he had MacT signed up. I was such an optimist after Lowes PC when he said MacT may explore other options.

We're stuck with him.......and I have a hard time with that.
there's another angle here though... it occurs to me that Lowe is the one who pushes "oiler hockey" (aka chase the little black thing) while macT wants to play a more defensive system.

combined with the comrie situation it seems that we may be pointing the finger at the wrong person.

do the oilers have a power mad GM who micro-manages the team all the way down to the players? how can a coach hope to overcome that?
