You can press select to change the focal point of the overhead camera from the puck to you and back again. I find on D that it's easier to switch back and forth as necessary (if you're trailing hte play watch the puck so you know where to set up, if you're getting back on D, focus on you so that you can see things develop from your own perspective without getting turned around.)
