A good friend of mine is an experienced youth coach, and he strongly advocates very short sticks for beginners to force them to bend into a proper power skating position.
Thanks for the advice, I'll try and get my hands on some tools (eventually). I already put a tackimac command grip on there, and have no idea how to remove that
