Yea, that's true and unfortunate.
MSG III was built on the premise they could have a permanent tenant. And that tenant was the New York Rangers.
Some great info about this in Frank Boucher's book: When The Rangers Were Young.
Boxing was the main draw, but hockey was the main tenant and was a driving force for MSG.
Unfortunately, times have changed. And MSG IV is event driven and its most popular tenant is a basketball team.
Hopefully we turn this place into a hockey town again this winter.
