I'd have to say that it's extremely unlikely that Shishkanov has a futurre in Nashville.

This is his last year that he can play in the AHL and not have to clear waviers.

And next year, Kariya, Sullivan, Harntell, Hall, Erat, Walker are all locks for roster spots, asumming that we don't trade them. And I don't see us trading one of the them to make room for Shishkanov.

Upshall is likely the next winger in line. And Radulov isn't far behind. Also, Gamache is still in the picture.

So, in summary, barring a miraculous explosion from Shishkanov, I don't think he has a chance. I think he'll be traded within a year (though he doens't have a lot of value).
