Yeap. My blade gets dirty from practicing stick handling in the gym. The wax has a tendency of picking up whatever lint, hair, etc is in the carpet.

I do find the little bit of tackiness helped my stick handling. Similar to when I used blade tape, but regular tape & wax works just as well, protects the blade better, and is cheaper.

Might only be psychological, but it works for me.
