I wouldn't say we were "very good" in the third. We looked BETTER, but we still weren't really getting scoring chances...though credit Giguere and the Ducks' the rare occasion that there was a rebound, the defense was there to immediately neutralize whomever was in the slot. I noticed that every decent shot we took was right at Giguere's emblem, which could be bad shooting or great positioning on Giguere's part. I think we turned it up a little in the third, but the Ducks went into defensive mode a little, too. The reason we were getting killed in the first two periods is that they were playing keepaway with the puck while our guys scrambled helplessly. In the third, instead of skating the puck out and setting up a forecheck, they simply cleared...gave it back to us...and let us try to set up again, only to strip and clear, thus killing a lot of time.
