A lot of that has to do with getting a lead (who wouldn't with 40 goals over two periods) and holding onto it in the 3rd, but it's true that if the Preds can get the lead heading into the 3rd, themselves, then they have a really good shot at maintaining it for the victory.

The Kings are coming off of their worst game of the season Thursday in Phoenix, a 4-0 shutout by the Dogs. Even without some scorers, the Predators are still a better team than the Coyotes, so I see no reason why the Preds can't duplicate what the Yotes did. They need to be careful, though, and assert themselves early, since the Kings are likely to be energized to make up for that performance of theirs. If the Preds play hard early and maintain it the entire game, they'll have a great shot to walk away with two points. The first 10 minutes could really dictate how the game will end up (as it did in Phoenix).
